Channing Arndt heads the Environment and Production Technology Division at IFPRI, where they explore = Global Change, Natural Resource Management, Science and Technology Policy, Spatial Data and Analytics, and Institutions and Governance. Channing has 30 years of experience in development economics, with 7 years combined resident experience in Morocco and Mozambique. He has published more than 85 articles in leading academic journals. Among His recent books are: The Political Economy of Clean Energy Transitions, published by Oxford University Press. He has taken leadership roles in major policy documents such as the Economics of Adaptation to Climate Change for the World Bank. His research has focused on agricultural development, poverty measurement, market integration, nutrition, gender and discrimination, bioenergy, climate variability, and the implications of climate change.
