Garvin Heath is the Chair of the State of Colorado’s Air Quality Enterprise Board. An air quality engineer by training, Professor Heath specializes in the analysis of environmental impacts of energy systems – both renewable and conventional forms of electricity and fuels. He is an inaugural Distinguished Member of the Research Staff at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) at Golden, CO. NREL advances the science and engineering of energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, and renewable power technologies and provides the knowledge to integrate and optimize energy systems. He is also a Senior Research Associate in the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute at the University of Colorado.
