Tina Johnson - National Black Environmental Justice Network and Deep South Center for Environmental Justice

Ms. Tina Johnson is an international policy advisor and consultant who works with governments, non-governmental organizations and communities to find innovative approaches to effectively address climate change. She has particular interest and focus on the global impacts on climate vulnerable communities and their innovative approaches to addressing climate impacts.
 
After fifteen years of working on a cross section of issues; food security, education, economic development and climate resiliency, Ms. Johnson has channeled her focus on policy and advocacy to raise the need for action on climate change and and to raise its level of urgency through the United Nations Framework on Climate Change, United Sates local, state and federal government levels and communities. 
 
It will take more than policy and advocacy if the world is going to address the impacts of climate change. Ms. Johnson knows that it will take building linkages between countries, communities, businesses to get to the heart of the issue - people and the planet. 
 
Ms. Johnson has landed coverage in print, broadcasts outlets around the world. She was identified as a climate leader to watch by Huffington Post in 2017.
