Dr. Meschke is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Environment and Occupational Health Sciences at The University of Washington. He has an adjunct appointment in Civil and Environmental Engineering.  He did his doctoral training at the University of North Carolina, his MS at Indiana University, and JD and BA at the University of Kansas. Dr. Meschke's research focuses on the fate, transport, detection, and control of pathogenic viruses and microorganisms in environmental media (air, water, food, etc.).
