David McGlinchey leads policy and government relations work at the Woodwell Climate Research Center, based in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.  He engages with congressional climate leaders as well as local congregations and at UN Climate Change Conferences. He has worked with Woodwell scientists in the field, from a permafrost monitoring station in interior Alaska to a tropical forest research station on the southern edge of the Amazon; and early in his career he launched the Vineyard Power cooperative on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, to developing offshore wind projects with benefits to local communities.
