Dr. Cathy Day is the Climate Policy Coordinator for the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition. She has worked at the intersections of agriculture and climate change for the past twenty years. In her time spent in academic research and teaching, she studied the transformation of farming and the influence of climate change on agriculture in Niger, New Mexico, and Florida. Her past includes three years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger, where farmers were experiencing climate, economic, and social change that was reshaping their agricultural options. She has also spent time as a public school science teacher, a farm apprentice, and a curriculum developer for on-farm learning.
