Emmy Simmons, is an independent consultant on food and agriculture issues, with a long career at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She currently serves on the Boards of the Global Crop Diversity Trust and DevWorks, as a member of the Global Panel on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition, and as a non-resident senior advisor to the Food Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. She continues to work toward defining and pursuing the goal of food systems transformation: providing sustainable, healthy diets for all.
