Matt Saldana is an Instructor at the National Wind Institute. He earned a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies (Wind Energy, Industrial Engineering and Education) and Business Administration from Texas Tech. Mr. Saldana teaches courses in the BSWE program to include; Wind Energy Economics and Finance, Renewable Energy, Environmental Issues and Social Impacts of Renewable Energy. Mr. Saldana also serves as faculty advisor for the Wind Energy Student Association and the Texas Tech Women’s Club Lacrosse team. In these rolls, Mr. Saldana provides guidance and advice for each organization as they continue to grow. In addition to his work at NWI, Mr. Saldana is currently coordinating the Lubbock KidWind Challenge hosted by Texas Tech University. Mr. Saldana has worked with the KidWind Project for the past 3 years and looks forward to a successful challenge! Mr. Saldana also co-authored The Essentials of Statistical Modeling in 2016 with Dr. Archie Ruiz. Mr. Saldana is also the Principal Investigator for Texas Tech’s Collegiate Wind Competition team.
