Lauren Clarke & Wes Fitch - Turn Compost

Lauren McMinn Clarke is a native Texan on a mission to make you rethink your urban environment. She is the Founder and CEO of Dallas-based Turn, (www.turncompost.com), a company that recycles food and yard waste for business and residents across DFW and educates suburbanites on sustainability practices. She is the creator of the Garden to Table to Garden movement that educates urban consumers on how to grow, cook, and recycle their food at home. 

Lauren studied Violin Performance at the University of North Texas, Strategic Communications at Columbia University and Culinary Arts at El Centro College. She has a broad background in marketing and strategy, doing work for large and small companies. Lauren is a certified Master Gardener with Texas A&M AgriLife and a Certified Culinarian with the American Culinary Federation. She is supremely grateful for her husband and two children.    

Wes Fitch was born and raised in the North Texas area is part of the Turn administrative team. He recently graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Sustainability Science, Organizational Leadership and Business.

Wes discovered Turn while completing an assignment to cover a local sustainability solution and has since dedicated himself to realizing their vision of a more sustainable DFW. 

Turn is a DFW-based social enterprise with a vision to change how our urban environment is utilized. We work with consumers, businesses, and non-profits in ways which support sustainable development within our communities.
