Kevin Taylor leads cities initiatives as part of the Climate Program at WWF. His work advances climate action directly in cities as well as supports the role of local governments in US national and international climate policy. This includes the areas of renewable energy, resilience, measurement and reporting, and the engagement of civil society. Kevin serves as the US program director for WWF’s One Planet City Challenge and is a lead expert on cities in WWF’s global network. Since 2017, Kevin has worked on the core team managing one of WWF’s signature programs We Are Still In (now called America Is All In). Prior to joining WWF, Kevin spent three years as a land use and environmental planner with CDM Smith, completing environmental assessments, city sustainability plans, and contributing to development of an integrated urban systems model used project potential impacts from proposed urban development on GHG emissions, transportation demand, land use, solid waste, and ecosystems. Kevin holds Master’s Degrees in Urban planning from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and Environmental Management from Duke University.
