Joy Youwakim is a research scientist and works as a product agromony scientist at Biome Makers, which is a soil biology company focused on functional genomics. She has worked on research projects, from observing the drought-resistant properties of sorghum to the feasibility of growing produce atop closed landfills. Joy is focused on soil microbiology and its the correlations to nutritional content in produce and with that, conclusions we can draw about public health.
