Tess Wiskel, MD is an emergency medicine physician practicing at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and a Climate and Human Health Fellow with Harvard University’s Center for Climate, Health and the Global Environment. She participated and presented at COP27. Her focus is on understanding and addressing the health impacts of climate change in at-risk populations and to evaluate the long-term effects including migration of communities. She is currently working with a multidisciplinary team at CrisisReady to understand the health impacts of extreme weather events on medically vulnerable populations with a focus on wildfires in California.
