Dr. Lea Hildebrandt Ruiz - University of Texas

As an Associate Professor at UT Dr. Hildebrandt Ruiz focuses on air quality, atmospheric chemistry, nanoparticles, mass spectrometry, environmental sustainability. 

Dr. Hildebrandt Ruiz received her NSF Postdoctoral Fellow, National Center for Atmospheric Research in 2012, her Ph.D., in Chemical Engineering and Engineering & Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011. And her B.S., in Chemical Engineering, California Institute of Technology in 2006.

Her team’s research focuses on how gas and particle-phase pollutants form and transform in the atmosphere. The ultimate goal of this research is to make better-informed recommendations for environmental policies aimed at improving air quality and human health.

Dr. Hildenbrant Ruiz has received numerous awards for her word including, but not limited to the Education Committee, American Association for Aerosol Research award, the Programming Chair, American Association for Aerosol Research Award, and the NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.
