Dr. Demain is the Founder of the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Center of Alaska. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor at the University of Alaska. In 1998, Dr. Demain founded the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Center of Alaska and in 2001, he founded the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Alaska Chapter. Dr. Demain is a recognized national and international speaker. Dr. Demain is actively involved with the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology. He currently serves as vice-chair of the Environmental and Occupational Disease interest section as well as many other committees, including the Anaphylaxis Committee, Practice Improvement and Eosinophilic Disease Committee. Dr. Demain is published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, is a review editor on several, and is co-author of two textbooks. A long-time Alaskan, Dr. Demain is an avid fly fisherman, skier, and outdoorsman.
