Ms. Brooklynne Palmer is a plant-based medical student passionate about bringing together nutrition and medicine in all aspects of life. She is a graduate of UT Dallas where she double majored in neuroscience and biology on her pre-med track.

During her time at UT Ms. Palmer also started writing for a food website, Spoon University, and discovered that she had a love for writing and working with local businesses. This combination of pre-med, and a passion for food led her to her culinary medicine track.

As a result of her writing for Spoon University she also discovered her love of food photography, as well as the importance and complexity of food in our society. She uses this passion to run her Instagram page @beetsbybrooke to share her journey of becoming a Black physician and navigating a stressful career while prioritizing mindfulness and vegan nutrition.

Ms. Palmer has been featured in the Voyage Dallas, EarthX and Physicians Committee Live.
