Mara Correa, Senior Programme Officer, Intergovernmental Affairs, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Mara joined UNEP in May 2008 as Deputy Regional Director of UNEP’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean. Since 2017, she has been at the UNEP New York Office. Mara has a broad range of experience with sustainable development and environment policy at the national and international level. Her previous appointments include: Deputy General Director of Multilateral Environmental Agreements in the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources; Director General of Fisheries Policy; and, Adviser to the Undersecretary of International Cooperation, among others.
